The free level test or a trial lesson shows where you are, and we choose the target level together.

Lessons that lead to the certificate
The 30-, 60- and 90-lesson programs prepare you step by step. In the 90-lesson program the certificate exam is included; in the 30- and 60-lesson programs you take it at half the fee.

Straight talk: what this certificate is, and what it isn't
I want to give you a document that genuinely helps you, so I'm clear about its limits from the start.
What it is
- A level certificate based on the Council of Europe's Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
- A certificate issued by me as an independent language tutor and interpreter, which anyone can verify
- Awarded on clear criteria: at least 75% on the test and at least 60/100 in writing and speaking; it has no expiry date
What it isn't
- It is not an official exam certificate such as IELTS, TOEFL, YDS or TISUS
- It is not accredited or approved by any government authority
- It does not replace an official certificate where one is required (visa, university admission, recognition); each institution decides whether to accept it

Frequently asked questions
Who can take the certificate exam?
Anyone. You can take it even if you don't take lessons with me; my students take it free or at half the fee, depending on their program.
What do I need to pass?
At least 75% at the level you're tested on and the levels below it, and at least 60/100 in writing and speaking. All the criteria are on the “How we certify” page.
Does the certificate expire?
No, it has no expiry date. It shows the exam date, so whoever reads it can see when your level was measured.
Who can verify it, and how?
Anyone who opens the QR code or the link on the certificate sees the verification page: name, level, date and skill scores. No other personal details are shown.
What if I don't pass?
You see which skills need more work. You can retake the exam after 30 days at the earliest, and we use that time together to close the gaps.
Is there an ID check?
The name on the certificate is matched to the name you registered with. I don't ask for photos of ID documents.
