Learning Swedish: a short guide
Swedish citizenship: the new requirements
Since 6 June 2026, most adults (aged 16–66) applying for Swedish citizenship must show knowledge of Swedish and of Swedish society. The civics test (medborgarskapsprovet) is taken in Swedish only, so both your language and your knowledge of society matter.
Rules and test dates change, so always check the latest information from Migrationsverket and UHR. In lessons we prepare the language and the content together, with explanations in Arabic, Turkish or English when you need them.

SFI levels explained
SFI (Swedish for immigrants) has four courses, A to D. Course D roughly matches level B1 on the European scale, the level of independent everyday communication. After SFI, many continue with Swedish as a second language (SAS), and TISUS is the test used for university studies.
Private lessons are the perfect complement to SFI: we go through what you didn't understand in class, practise for the national tests and work on speaking, which there's rarely enough time for in large groups.
Why learning Swedish through your own language is faster
When grammar is explained in a language you don't fully understand, you lose time guessing. A short explanation in Arabic or Turkish, followed by lots of practice in Swedish, is often the fastest way to understand a structure and start using it.

Yes. That's one of the main reasons students choose me. I explain in Arabic, Turkish or English, and we practise in Swedish.
Can you help me with SFI?
Yes. We work on exactly what you're studying in SFI, practise for the national tests and give you the speaking practice that's hard to get in class.
Do you prepare for the Swedish citizenship requirements?
Yes. We prepare the Swedish you need and go through the civics test material and question types together. Always check the current rules and dates with Migrationsverket and UHR.
Do you prepare students for TISUS?
Yes: reading, writing and speaking practice in the TISUS format, with detailed feedback on your texts.
How much does a Swedish lesson cost?
